EMIRATES FLIGHT CATERING LONG TERM EXPANSION

PROJECT

Located in the Dubai Airport Precinct, within Cargo Village and adjacent Airport Road, the project involves the construction of an additional building to expand the current Emirates Flight Catering operation, ahead of requirements to meet 2020 demand.

The project includes main building (B+G+Mez+2+Roof) works for the new 55,735 m2 facility, in addition to a link bridge and other ancillary buildings, with a total project area of 62,448 m2. Works will be carried out alongside the existing Emirates Flight Catering facilities. To connect the two buildings with 5600Ton of Steel which is used at 1st, 2nd & 3rd Floor with a span of 43meters of TRUSSES to support the Upper Structure? 

The Project was completed End of Jan.2019  

Galadari Engineering Works (GEW)  role in this project was to design, fabricate, supply and erect the Main Building steel, AVG corridor steel, 2 link bridges, and Bus Bar steel. 

CHALLENGE AND SUCCESS

The main building structure is connecting the two building along all the 3 floors. The Trusses of Length 43.5m were used to connect the two buildings of 130meter length.
