PROJECT
The Palm Tower is an awe-inspiring landmark soaring majestically 240 meters from the heart of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah.Â
The Palm Tower is nearing completion at the heart of Palm Jumeirah. More than 77,600 cubic meters of concrete, 46,000 square meters of glass and 17,000 tons of reinforcement steel are being used in the construction of the 52-storey tower. Construction work has been completed up to level 50, including the 775 square meter rooftop infinity pool which will hold 930,000 liters of water. Construction of the rooftop dining and viewing deck, on levels 51 and 52, is in progress.
Our Company's (Reem Emirates Aluminum) role in this project is to design, fabricate & install the curtain wall/facade which will give the attractive shape of the building.
Our Company "REEM EMIRATES ALUMINUM" is the contractor for the facade. The role includes design, fabrication & installation of the curtainwall.
WHY TEKLA
Main aim to use Tekla software for this project is that the software's easiness for the co-ordination. Also at the roof as well as the two-sided elevations of the building are in a critical shape at the same time which reflects the iconic shape of the building.
Moreover, Tekla made the draughtsmen's life easy for the curved and inclined portions of the roof facade.
ABOUT COMPANY
The core business of Reem Emirates Aluminum is the design and manufacture of custom-made, unitized curtain wall panels. Â The aluminum curtain wall factory built within an area of 80,000 sqm can produce more than 65,000 sqm. of curtain wall panels each month. REA has two additional facilities for glass fabrication and metal cladding at total build-up area of 13,000 sqm. All designs are created in house and supervised by our design specialists from concept design to installation providing integrated technology solutions for clients.
