Eversendai Engineering L.L.C, UAE was awarded 2,800 M Tons of Steelworks Package for Titanium Sponge Plant-BLD301 & STR501 Projects in Yanbu-KSA. Eversendai scope was to provide Tekla 3D Models, Workshop Fabrication Drawings, Fabrication, Painting & Supply. All the above scope of works was completely taken care in-house and successfully completed in line with project schedules.
The Project Client is TOHO TITANIUM CO.LTD, The General Contractor is CHIYODA CORPORATION and Structural Engineer is CPCA JV.
YNP Titanium Sponge Production Plant is located in Yanbu Industrial City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This Project is a Joint venture between The National Titanium Dioxide Company Ltd (CRISTAL) and The TOHO Titanium Company Ltd (TOHO). The objective of the Project is to produce Titanium Sponge at competitive cost using the Titanium Tetrachloride produced from the existing Titanum Dioxide plant from CRISTAL and the Production Technology of Titanium Sponge from TOHO. Production will be commenced in Q2, 2017 with the capacity of 15,600 Metric Ton per year.
This Project Consists of Two Structures namely BLD 301 and STR 501. BLD 301 is around 2,050 Tons and STR 501 is around 750 Tons. BLD 301 structure is about 215 mt Length by 62 mt Width by 26 Mt Height. It consists of Shop welded Latice columns with complicated Crane girders connecting with the access platforms. The main roof is a complex long span structure with the lattice Trusses and connecting Roof Joists and Ventilation monitors.
STR 501 structure is about 90 mt Length by 47 mt Width by 10.1 Mt Height.STR 501 is mainly to acccommade Equipment structures. It Consists of 4 levels with Chequered plates & grating flooring.
