Ville has a long history in software development, 3D modeling, BIM, and the construction industry. He has an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on 3D design systems and software development. He joined Trimble in 1997 as a software developer and has held several manager and director-level positions for leading large multinational organizations in the Structures division, the Construction sector, and now on the Trimble corporate level.
He has truly enjoyed his journey from a member of a tiny development team of the Tekla Structures to his current role to help Trimble to transform several industries. In his current role as Senior Director, Strategic Portfolio Engineering, he is responsible for alignment around strategic portfolio initiatives. This role combines his passion for technology, strategy, and people.
He has mostly lived in Finland but is now again located in Colorado, US, where he enjoys the mountains, sun, and time with his family.
