Trimble signs MOU with Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, KSA
Prince Sultan University (PSU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Trimble Inc. (NASDAQ: TRMB) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The purpose of this MoU is to set forth increased collaboration and cooperation between the College of Engineering at PSU and Trimble to educate the students with advanced 3D BIM Tekla Solutions used in the construction world. The university offers quality programs for its students that reflect the excellence and leadership in higher education in Saudi Arabia and the region. As a result, the college offers several specialized courses in its programs for engineering students to bridge the gap between academia and the industry.

To reinforce this mission, Prince Sultan University has developed an additional Civil and Environmental Engineering Program, besides the existing program of Construction Engineering Management. The university will teach Tekla – 3D BIM Software as one of the main software tools for Civil Engineering and Construction Management students. The department’s computer lab will be fully equipped with Tekla Structural Designer for Structural Analysis and Design of Steel and Concrete structures, Tekla Tedds for repetitive structural calculations and finally, Tekla Structures for detailing and fabrication for the students at the College of Engineering to benefit from.

The MoU between Trimble and Prince Sultan University consists of Tekla Structures licenses, which is the top 3D BIM modeling, coordination, detailing, and fabrication software in the market used in over 150 countries worldwide.
It also includes licenses of the Tekla Structural Designer Suite that consists of the latest versions of Tekla Structural Designer (Structural Analysis and Design) and Tekla Tedds (repetitive structural calculation’s library) software that offers a complete solution for Structural Engineers.
