This residential building is part of the Europakwartier plan in Almere. There are 12 apartments, realized on 4 floors. For our client, De Ruwbouw Groep, we did the engineering of the precast structure. From the beginning of the project, it was agreed that only IFC would be used for communication / exchange. Clash checks were conducted on the IFC models and communicated via Solibri. It has actually been possible to communicate only with IFC with all parties.
What made the project successful
The various subcontractors involved in this work included the flooring, steel parts, precast balconies, precast walls, scaffolding, door and windows frames as well as the installation. Almost every supplier needed information from another party. By consequently using the IFC model, problems have been solved during engineering rather than at the construction site. Tekla provides production files that are read at the factory. By means of this data, the production robot makes the mold and projects the position of rebars and inserts. Drawings are only used for verification and the building permit.
