Carriglea is a majestic residential venture valued at approximately 56 million euros. It takes its rightful place on Naas Road, southwest of Dublin. The elegantly planned complex comprises 376 apartments distributed in 11 tastefully designed blocks, with heights ranging from five to eight stories.
Our office, as part of a comprehensive approach to the Carriglea project, had the pleasure of being responsible for both the development of the computational model and the digital building model. These two elements form the foundation of our work and have enabled us to effectively plan, analyze, and implement construction solutions.
The first phase, Carriglea Phase 1, consisted of three blocks. Almost all of above-ground construction was designed and executed as a prefabricated construction, except for the ground floor cast on site and steel beams and columns supporting the ceiling slab in selected places.
Prefabricated walls were made as full panels with a thickness of 200mm, and ceiling slabs consisted of hollow core units with a thickness of 250mm along with 75mm of concrete topping. In selected places, we used solid prestressed slabs of varying concrete topping height, and the stairs – these are also prefabricated elements.
By using prefabricated construction, we not only ensure greater precision and quality but also significantly shorten the project execution time. This is proof of our innovation and commitment to creating efficient and sustainable building solutions.
Each of the blocks offers apartments of various sizes – from compact studios to spacious apartments with one, two, or even three bedrooms. In one of the blocks, common spaces were planned, perfect for meetings and relaxation, as well as a concierge service, adding extra charm to the entire venture.
Then, we started work on Carriglea Phase 2 – an ambitious expansion of our original project. This phase consists of eight blocks, which, together with Phase 1, gives a total of eleven blocks, making up the entire complex. All of this, just like in Phase 1, was performed as a prefabricated construction, which contributes to the reduction of the execution time.
The entire Carriglea project, thanks to the effective work of the team and the advantages of prefabricated construction, has a great chance of being completed ahead of schedule, which is proof of our experience, commitment, and effective project management.
The application of high-level BIM technology has allowed us to continuously monitor progress, coordinate teamwork efficiently, and provide detailed quantity surveys. As a result, we could focus on delivering the highest quality project, paying attention to every detail.
All this makes Carriglea a project that not only transforms the landscape of Dublin but also sets new standards in terms of construction efficiency and living quality. It is our valuable contribution to the future of construction, combining innovation, efficiency, and care for the comfort of future residents.
