Project description
Sandvik designed this fully specific installation for industrial use enabling the extraction and transformation of rhyolitic tuff-type material (volcanic equivalent of Granit). Example of the use of the material: building construction concrete and road. PLANNING: August 1, 2016 to August 1, 2018
Â
What were the challenges encountered that contributed to the project's success?
The difficulty was the land. Our project was designed in conjunction with an old grinding sifting installation and left us little room. In addition, all of the structures were positioned over several levels and on the edge of a cliff. And finally, the pit is in a seismic are that did not facilitate the implementation of structures.
Â
What benefits did BIM and Tekla Structures provide to you?
Tekla Structures makes the most suitable software for the implementation of studies for this installation. The BIM enabled reliable organization with our manufacturing subcontractors. Then, the BIMSIGHT software was very useful for exchanges with the client.
