The plan previews the widening and the requalification of the cemeteries of the municipality of Cancello e Arnone, in Italy.. All the buildings have been modeled and entirely realized in reinforced concrete cast-in-place through slabs and walls.Â
Noteworthy is the presence of a building set on a circular arc that required the modeling of curved armature bars.Â
The models helped us execute precisely detailed reinforced concrete structures that considered the actual arrangement of the bars and complied with the requirements of the iron cover, wall thicknesses, and slabs.
The advantages of using BIM
Structural models, which were similar but not identical to each other, allowed us to benefit from the potential of Tekla’s editing tools (rebar set). The ability to quickly and extremely accurately estimate the amount and arrangement of the reinforcement was fundamental in the computation phase.
