The GARDENS corporate building is located near Les Grésillons RER C station in Gennevilliers, at the foot of the future Paris Métro Line 15 and one station from Paris Métro Line 14. The building is six stories in height with a surface area of 15,400 sq.m.
In 2023, just 23 months after construction, the Up Group (formerly Chèque Déjeuner) will set up its new French headquarters in the GARDENS corporate building under a 10-year fixed-term BEFA agreement.
This project is being carried out in co-promotion by the GA Group and BNP Paribas Immobilier Promotion Immobilier d'Entreprise.
Challenges
The project was undertaken in a constrained space on a tight schedule. To meet the schedule, we increased the number of collaborators modeling with the Tekla model. Over twenty designers and engineers worked simultaneously.
We also used the BIM model to connect our concrete prefabrication production tool to the Tekla model and the Trimble Connect platform used by the works department on site.
We set up a completely new system with which we fully used the Tekla and Trimble Connect Status Sharing APIs. The objective was to share the progress of the design and manufacture of precast products with construction teams on the IFC model to reduce storage time and optimize the life cycle of concrete products.
We had to securely connect three tools (Tekla Structure, Trimble Connect, and Armaor, the production management software of our three concrete plants).
Tekla Structure saved us time in designing and industrializing our products and allowed us to integrate the model into factory production and site handling cycles.
