Methabau is technology leader in high-quality, multi-storey commercial buildings with highly pre-fabricated and innovative solutions in residential construction. The company is characterized by the in-house handling of the entire value chain - from development, planning and execution. For the Tekla DACH BIM Awards the company submitted the GoEasy leisure, sports and course center Project located in Swiss Siggenthal. Methabau is responsible for the overall planning of all disciplines in this project and demands usage of BIM also as a prerequisite for their project partners.
Planning in two stages - always with BIM
After the planning phase, the detailed implementation planning of the entire steel and precast concrete construction was conducted with advanced 3D visualization software taking into account all the relevant construction components. All conflicts could be solved during the planning phase. Optimized workflows and best construction quality were also guaranteed by the in-house engineering firm and long-standing partnerships with technicians. The project was planned in two stages. The first phase took place 2007-2008 and the second phase from 2015 to 2016. Tekla Structures was used in two phases and was also used in two phases of planning for data and information exchange with partners.
