Rehabilitation and extension of an existing metal building in the port of Bordeaux, France.
A point cloud of the existing structure has been obtained through 3D laser scanning.
Taking advantage of Tekla’s point cloud import tool, the ship has been modeled by adapting it to the point cloud for a digital copy of the actual ship.
From this real model, the rest of the building's expansion, reinforcement and updating structures have been modeled with absolute precision, which will facilitate their assembly.
