The 15,320 m2 building consists of retail and residential space on the last three floors with training rooms and an auditorium for 300 people. The building is in Denmark, Copenhagen, on the corner of Nørgaardsvej and Firskovvej.
The general contractor is BAM Danmark, and SWECO has designed the building. Our task was to create a BIM model of the prefabricated elements, including sandwich walls, solid walls, beams, columns, stairs, landings, and slabs. The production dimensions of 620mm thick sandwich walls with heights as high as over 7m proved to be a challenge.
The range of THOMAS PRAEFAB Międzyrzecz included the design of prefabricated elements, production of concrete elements, transport, and assembly. The insulation layer alone was 30cm. Additionally, most of the walls were rotated on site due to their dimensions. The cooperation between all companies performing the structural elements of the building was smooth due to the use of BIM technology, including the exchange of IFC files. For this project, we produced more than 2,000 construction drawings of precast elements.
