El Parque de la Cultura Llanera is a series of structures located in Villavicencio, Meta, a region of Colombia in which livestock farming is its main economic and cultural activity. The Maloka, named by the indigenous communities as the meeting place, is the roof of the park's livestock market. It is a hat-shaped structure that also refers to livestock activities, they are octagons joined at different heights by a structural pipe, which are supported on inclined columns that are also made of pipe. The structure is developed in polar axes, which is why the Tekla model allowed the correct location of the connections and the preparation of layout plans and templates for cutting the structural pipe.
Tekla Structures for production:
In industrial del hierro, we integrate the designer throughout the entire process to define the objectives we aim to achieve. This allows us to optimize costs, inventories, capacities, and work in progress. Due to its versatility, we utilize Trimble Connect as a data management tool.
An initial version was modeled according to the drawings and specifications provided by the company to identify doubts, potential improvements, interferences, and incompatibilities. Throughout the design process, the model was constantly updated to optimize manufacturing processes, logistics in transportation, and ease of assembly.
Software Used:
- Tekla Structures for modeling and fabrication drawings, design, parts, and assembly.
- STRUMIS as production manager and controller to minimize overheads, costs and maximize productivity and profitability.
- Trimble Connect as a common data environment between the company and the client.
Key Data:
- 1.394 bolts.
- 2.412 parts distributed across 39 assemblies.
- Simultaneous work among participating individuals during the project development.
