The project concerns the construction of a new industrial plant for the Orogel group in Pievesestina di Cesena. The construction site under construction since 2017 includes the construction of an automated warehouse for the computerized storage and handling of frozen products, and several adjacent structures serving the MAV(Automatic Vertical Warehouse). Enser was responsible for the executive design of the MAV foundations and all the metal carpentry structures adjacent to the automated cell.
The adjacent structures serving the automated cell include two anterooms, a technological center, a packaging department and an external pipe rack for transporting the systems.
It is a cutting-edge structure that represents excellence at a European level.
Which benefits have you found using BIM and Tekla Structures as modeling software?:
The project was born in 2016 in which the use of Tekla Structures was tested for the first time for the modeling of the first compartment of the plant. Over the years, with the introduction of Trimble Connect as a platform for sharing and coordinating models with the client and other suppliers, the audience of users and users of the models developed for Orogel 3 has significantly expanded, becoming in effect a virtual construction site.
The benefits found are many, first of all:
- Control of the results by the client through the use of Trimble Connect;Â
- Verification of the construction project through the use of Tekla Structures for all the designed structures;
- Coordination with the other plant engineering and automation disciplines;
- Cost control and material procurement;
- The possibility of viewing the models directly on site using a tablet or smartphone. Â
