Project description
The project deals with the proposal of a new tennis hall steel structure. Ground plan dimensions are approximately 80 x 42m, while the maximum height is +12.55m. The structure is based on eight arched truss cross frames about 1.4m high and columns with beams in the front and back walls. The main cross frames have a distance of 8.1 + 7 x 8.9 + 8.1m. Along axis B, there is a single-story hall with a width of 4.3mand height of 3.44m. Main cross frames have a triangular shape with one bottom and two upper chords. The bottom chord is proposed using tubular sections, top chords are from H-shaped welded sections for fixing cladding panels. In the middle part, there is an arched frame with a circular shape, which is oblique at the sides. The cross frame is anchored using a pair of pin connections on each side, span between fixing points is 40.25m.
