As a steel detailer with no experience in programming or development, the developer taught himself how to use C++ to create his first ever app, Slanted. Slanted is a very useful tool and can be an effective function in Tekla. The app changes the position of a diagonal beam by picking the start and endpoint.Â
Until now, fitting a diagonal beam into a frame required moving the endpoint ten times to get it in place. With Slanted, users can choose the start and endpoint on two corners for an instant diagonal beam between two points. This function currently does not exist in Tekla, but implementing the tool can make creating useful diagonal beams faster and easier than ever.
