With a modular capacity of over 42,000 seats makes it the largest stadium in the Southwest of France and the Atlantic seaboard. The stadium’s modularity, offering several possible configurations and various facilities, fully enables it to welcome a large scope of programming: sports and other events and shows. As one of the official stadiums of Euro 2016, it will host five games during the event. Created by the international architectural firm of Herzog & de Meuron and built and operated by VINCI-FAYAT groups, the Matmut Atlantique is a true architectural work dedicated to the comfort of the spectators. The Stadium has the friendliness of English stadiums and has a hybrid seeded pitch, that is to say half synthetic, half natural, which is perfectly resistant to the alternation between events such as soccer, rugby, and concerts. It is also the first connected stadium in France. Benefiting from HD WIFI, it offers the spectators new interactive content during and outside of events.
