The project involved the construction of the new "Via Verdi" store, an exclusive sales point for the "Nenette" clothing brand. The works included the renovation of the ground floor and the facades of a nineteenth-century building located in the historic center of Legnano (MI). There was a first phase of the creation of new openings in the existing masonry and the demolition of the attic and the existing staircase.
Â
The metal profiles were installed in the walls, and the formwork complex was created, including all projections and inserts. The ladder was thrown into a single casting to achieve a monolithic effect. The crystal railings were then mounted, and the concrete was finished with surface resination.
Â
We want to thank the construction company "Arti Costruzioni" and the fitter of the inserts and parapets in crystal "bed Arredamenti," who contributed to building this artifact. Without these precious artisans, projects like these would remain on paper or better, following the BIM approach, "to model."
Â
Advantages of using BIM
Â
The project, since its embryonic stages, has been approached directly in the three-dimensional model. Starting from the architectural concept and refining the solution, the project path has provided a profitable comparison with the general architect arch. Marco Ferrari (mfa study), based mainly on BIM performed in Tekla Structures. The model was an irreplaceable working tool that allowed for immediate dialogue between everyone involved in the construction process.
Â
Tekla Structures has allowed in all the phases of this small but articulated work to make extremely conscious design decisions pursuing the philosophy of "total design" in which "everything needed for the construction must be designed."
Â
This control extended to every detail, satisfying the expectations of the client and architectural designer and delivering control quantities on time. What's more, Tekla Structures enabled the production of extremely clear and constructible structures Â
Â
Without the BIM methodology and Tekla Structures, an artifact with this degree of realization complexity would have been extremely difficult and expensive to build.
