This is a project for the new Waco High School. At 350,000 square feet, the new campus will be large enough to accommodate 2,150 students.
Our company was responsible for preparing the executive and workshop designs of steel structures and the model for BIM coordination. The project consisted of 38 sequences and 1280 tons. The showstopper is the four-story performing arts center, which contains three steel catwalks spanning the upper space above the stage floor. Surrounding the center are theater tech spaces, a band hall, and a choir rehearsal room, both with high ceilings for good acoustics. Visual art classrooms overlook the high school’s outdoor common area.
