The Warehouse is an iconic brand, with more than 92 stores across New Zealand and Australia. The Warehouse’s distribution center, located in Rolleston in the South Island, is the South Island’s largest single level building. The $13m center features a 33,000 m2 warehouse, 1,100 m2 administration block, 900Lm of conveyor system, 6500m2 of asphalt perimeter roadways and a carpark. Recently, The Warehouse decided to extend the facility, adding to the original structure with 15,000 m2 of storage and distribution space, along with 2,000 m2 of extra container canopies, new racking and conveyor systems, and extra yard and parking areas. We drew the original center in 2D, and The Warehouse engaged us to 3D model the new part of the facility and ensure the integration of old-world and new-world models was smooth and coherent.
