Our company Engineers India Limited (a Min-Ratna PSU) was awarded this project "DCU, EPCC-1, RESID UPGRADATION PROJECT" of client "CHENNAI PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED" on LSTK basis amid tough competition from private players.
Project is part of expansion of MANALI REFINERY nearby Chennai.
This projects consists of more than 10 industrial steel structures, totaling approx ~6000 Metric Ton. The biggest and highest of these is called "COKE DRUM STRUCTURE". This main structure is approx 13 meter length, 13 meter wide and 120 meter height. Total weight of this structure is ~900 Metric Ton. Moreover 1 independent staircase structure and elevator structure also serve this structure by providing access to various levels. This staircase tower and lift structure are separate steel structure on same foundations. Contributing another ~400 Metric Ton.
Main coke drum structure is being submitted as part of this Tekla BIM Awards competition.
