Challenges

- Member changes and other errors in the drawing were automatically updated on Tekla Structures. For example, the team could deliver a last minute change in member column size of 300 to 600 mm with the help of Tekla Structures. They could make changes to all the sections and release drawing within the stipulated timeline.Â
- Generating models and clash detections on Tekla Structures is super quick.
- Further, producing similar drawings were equally easy with the cloning feature.
- The project team affirms that the project could be delivered within the timeline because of Tekla Structures. A CAD software would have taken more time for connection, detailing, prepare GA and for checking of all fabrication drawings. The team stated that Tekla is more convenient and suitable for preparation of steel structural shop drawings.
