In 2017, we began the Xpo1 project which is one of the most promising and innovative projects in Guatemala from an Environmental Architecture perspective. The project consists of an office building and a commercial building made up of structural steel, I beam profiles primarily, and includes bolted connections in the basement levels and welded connections in the upper levels.
One of the biggest challenges on this project was the irregular shape of the building. Tekla Structures was a key to overcoming this challenge as the truly constructible information from the model was used in the fabrication and construction phases of the project.
