Retaining basement wall analysis and design (ACI318)

This video shows the Tekla Tedds Retaining basement wall analysis and design calculation to ACI 318. The calculation checks the design of a reinforced concrete braced basement retaining wall with a fixed or pinned base and a pinned top. A supporting strip footing can also be included. The basement wall may be subject to vertical loads and moments from the structure above (dead, live, live roof, rain, snow, wind & seismic), and may also be subject to surcharge loads (dead, live) applied to the top of the retained soil, lateral earth pressures and wind loads.
