Steel masonry support design (EN1993)

This video demonstrates the Tekla Tedds Steel masonry support design calculation to the Eurocode. The calculation checks the bending, deflection and fixings of a steel beam supporting masonry. The support beam can be designed as a stainless steel cold formed angle, a mild steel angle in simple bending or a flat plate welded to the underside of the torsion beam. Bolt and weld capacities are checked where applicable. The calculation is in accordance with EN1993 and the National annexes for the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, Finland, Sweden, Norway or the recommended Eurocode values.
