Recently crowned as "Knowledge City", Bandar Baru Bangi is a township situated 25km away from the heart of Malaysia's capital - Kuala Lumpur. Several well-established education institutions including Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI) have impacted the demographic growth of young, active students living in the area.
This project will serve the needs of students in Bandar Baru Bangi, particularly the ones who enjoy futsal games. The purpose of this project is to encourage healthy living among students by building a brand new futsal court with ready facilities for the mass public such as restrooms and "surau" (prayer rooms for Muslims).
This building has two floors. The standard size for a futsal court is often referred with FIFA standard which is 24 x 42 m. This project is designed to house two futsal courts with the size of 71 x 100 m, with enough space to include building facilities such as restrooms, fitting rooms and a surau.
