Tekla BIM Awards is a way to express appreciation towards Tekla software customers and share their success stories worldwide. Together with the forward-thinking users, Tekla software plays a significant role in building many complex and iconic structures and leading the construction industry's development.
The winners of local Tekla BIM Awards 2021 and 2022 are eligible to enter the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2022. Categories for students and API developers are globally open for participants (not just local winners).
Tekla BIM Awards terms and conditions
By submitting models and images (“Content”) to Trimble Finland (“Trimble”), you represent and warrant that (i) you are entitled to do so and grant licenses to such Content as set forth below; (ii) submission of such Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party; and (iii) your disclosure of Content does not violate any obligations of confidentiality that you may have towards any third party.
You grant Trimble a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable license to use, reproduce, create derivative works of, distribute, modify, publicly perform and publicly display your Content for the purpose of marketing and sales demonstration of Trimble and/or Tekla products, and for the purpose of further development of the Trimble and/or Tekla products and related services.
Prizes
The main prize for the competition
- One of the category winners will be selected as the best BIM project and awarded the main prize in the competition.
- The best project will be decided by the jury set by Trimble.
- The main prize: Two persons to Trimble Dimensions+ in Las Vegas, USA (including flights, hotel and event tickets)
- The winner(s) will also receive global publicity on different Trimble channels and/or industry media.
- There is no cash alternative to the prize.
The prize for category winners
- Most of the category winners will receive Jura coffee machines, valued around 1000€/$.
- Student category winner will receive Amazon gift card of EUR 500 for the whole team.
- Category winners will be decided by the jury set by Trimble.
- There is no cash alternative to the prize.
Categories
- Commercial projects: A building that is used for commercial use, e.g. office buildings, residential complex, hotels, shopping malls or other mercantile buildings, client utility buildings
- Public projects: A building that is used by the public, e.g. healthcare facilities, hospitals, educational facilities, airports, research centers, government buildings
- Industrial projects: A building that is used for industrial purposes, e.g. factory, power plant, mill, drilling rig, warehouse
- Infrastructure projects: Basic physical structure needed for the operation of a society, e.g. bridges, tunnels, and other non-occupied structures
- Sports & recreation projects: A building that is serving sport or recreational purposes, e.g. stadium, sports track, sports center or other sport-related facilities
- Small projects: A project that is small but complex or innovative. Not restricted by building types.
- Student projects: A project done by a full time enrolled student, or a group of students, in an educational institute. Not restricted by building types.
- API developer projects: An application that is developed with any Tekla API. The application can be free, commercial, internal or built for a student project. The application can be implemented with Tekla Open API, Tekla EPM Open API, Tekla Tedds API, Tekla Structural Designer Open API or Trimble Connect API/SDK.
Note: Local categories may be different from global categories. Trimble reserves the right to place a project to a suitable category.
Prize draw
- One voter will be given a prize which will be published later.
- Entry to the prize draw is by voting in the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2022.
- Only one entry per project per person. Multiple entries for a single project from a single person will be disqualified.
- One voter will be given a voter's prize. The winner is drawn by a computer program that randomly selects the winner.
- We will notify the winner personally by email.
- The winner is responsible for paying any income tax (if any) due on the prize won.
- There is no cash alternative to the prize.
- No responsibility will be accepted for incomplete or lost entries or entries not received.
- In the event of any dispute, Trimble’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The name of the winner will be available after the winning projects have been announced and will be published on the www.tekla.com/bim-awards website.
