About the speakers:

Wee Eng Yau has been in the civil & structural field for 26 years, specialising in technology solutions to improve project delivery. He began his career as an engineer in the civil and structural &
multi disciplinary consultancy. He also had experience in construction and steel fabrication industry working on oil and gas projects.

He then moved into software sales and management serving a range of building and construction professionals such as architects, engineers, constructors and owners/operators.

Wee is currently the Country Manager for Trimble Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd. 

In 1996, Wee graduated with a BEng (Hons) Civil & Structural Engineering from University of Hertfordshire and in 2003, he completed his MBA at Nottingham University.

Chiang Xin Yi graduated in 2010 with a BEng (Hons) Civil & Structural Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman with 13 Years Professional Experience.

Xin Yi started her profession as a Structural Engineer in Design Consultancy involved in the design and implementation of various projects including factories, high-rise structures, residential, commercial, mix development. She is familiar with the design workflow, detailing requirement and code compliance for building design for Malaysian Projects. She was a Senior C&S Engineer.

Xin Yi joined Trimble in 2019 as a Solution Engineer  to help Engineers to improve their
Productivity and help implement BIM Technologies.

Dennis Acosta has joined the Tekla South East Asia office as Technical Consultant, after moving from the Tekla Middle East office. 

Dennis' BIM experience started 25 years ago, with the use of AutoCAD and Xsteel when he worked for Zamil Steel, a leading Middle East structural steel fabricator. During his 8-year stint with the company, Dennis was instrumental in producing extensive steelwork general arrangement drawings and details that predominantly used structural steelwork. 

In 2006, Dennis joined Tekla Middle East as Technical Support Engineer. Shortly after, he initiated precast implementation for various clients, which led to working closely with detailing teams, creating company standards that ensured the use of BIM software in an efficient and productive way.

Recently helped to successfully implement the use of BIM software to the one of the biggest precaster in the region.


Gabriel Neves started his professional career in the late 1980's when drawings were hand drafted and has since garnered more than 30 years of international experience in bridge design. For the last 16 years, he worked in the UK with SWECO, WSP and AECOM and has gained vast knowledge and experience in BIM implementation processes, as well as in building and managing BIM teams, introducing ways of work and delivering training to local and international teams.

Gabriel has extensive experience with CAD / BIM software from all main software providers. Working with a variety of CAD and BIM tools, Gabriel has accumulated knowledge of the most effective tool selection methods, considering the proper workflow and the needs of each project while enjoying challenging the status quo that has always been a handicap to our industry.

In 2018 , Gabriel started working at Trimble, supporting the effort of transforming the way the world works by introducing technologies connecting the physical and digital worlds to Authorities, Consultants and Contractors worldwide.
