The role:
Responsible to the Design Office Manager, you will be required to form an integral part of the project design delivery team providing support in the co-ordination of steelwork with cladding systems, glazing and other elements.
Key responsibilities:
- Interrogation of client design packs and specifications.
- Raising and issuing of Requests For Information.
- Ability to interpret architect’s and engineer’s drawings, along with site surveys.
- Liaising with the wider internal design team to ensure the co-ordination of designs.
- Communication with client teams to determine final details.
- Preparation of General Arrangements and IFC for review by the client team.
- Preparation of detailed fabrication drawings, lists and information.
- Preparation of site specific erection / installation drawings.
Required skills:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Tekla Detailer with a strong knowledge of structural steelwork and cold rolled systems and possess excellent communication skills. The projects SDM Fabrication Limited undertake are wide ranging, therefore you should have knowledge of both structural and architectural steelwork is essential.
