SMP Consulting are a Structural & Civil Engineering Consultancy practice based in modern offices on the Meridian Business Park on the south side of Leicester. The practice was established in 1989, and takes on a wide range of projects up to £12million in value.

Applicant to be competent in:

  • Tekla Portal Frame Designer
  • Tekla Structural Designer
  • Tekla Tedds
  • Trimble Connect

The role:

A client facing Senior Structural Engineer who is confident in their work and ability, with good presentation skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provision of Structural/ Civil Engineering Consultancy services from project inception to completion
  • Meetings with clients
  • Fee quotations
  • Management of projects
  • Development and improvement of working practices/ policy documentation in the office

Required skills:

  • A proactive 'can do' attitude who is mindful and responsive to client requirements
  • Proven structural design/ detailing skills in steel, concrete and timber
  • Computer literate
  • Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer
