With the intent of expanding it production and development capabilities, Saber Glass (SGL) has decided to erect a new glass fabrication plant in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The chosen site is located in the logistical Center of Guadalajara.
The new fabrication plant is designed to produce glass bottles and will utilize a new kiln as well as its related production lines. A storage area, as well as an area for material preparation and unloading dock for raw material, will allow the preparation of the material fed into the kiln. A main process building will house the kiln along with the production lines in addition to the waste recovery systems.
With the help of Tekla Structures, the model used for this project was utilized in a multi-user way to attack the project from different front. This helped tremendously with project deadlines. Additionally, being able to stay in constant communication with the client to work on possible changes was key to this project. The client was provided with the IFC files to determine possible interferences and was able to avoid any delays that would have resulted from any possible clashes.
TEMSA was in charge of the project Design, Steel Detailing, fabrication and erection for the entire project.
