This steel bridge spans 190’-0 long by 44’-0 wide over the Umatillo River in Pendleton, Oregon. In this project, there are 4 main top chord trusses that tie the 2 main side trusses together. It is made up of just under 2500 parts and 173 tons as well as 433 drawings. Additionally, this bridge was detailed to ASHTO bridge code in the state of Oregon. All the steel that was detailed is weathering steel and was modeled to the cambered position. All the shop and erection drawings showed the camber as well as stud layouts. The steel detailer noted that challenges on the project included modeling the members and bolt patterns in the cambered position as well as a very tight schedule. The detailer attributes the project success to a very strong team and use of Tekla. Vote now, public voting will close on June 22nd.! https://www.tekla.com/us/bim-awards/projects
