Lilydale Picnic Shelter

Lilydale Picnic Shelter is a small project that Woodell Detailing provided the structural steel detailing on. The project's uniquely shaped roofline with seemingly random elevations to make a zigzag pattern created challenges. This combined with several skewed lines of steel made it difficult to get the rooflines to flow smoothly. The columns are made up of built-up Corten plates that are exposed to view. The soffit edge is all made up of Corten plates that is exposed to view.
