2016 North American BIM Awards - Marywood Learning Commons

A central feature of this building was the monumental stair, a steel stair with under-slung stringers, steel plate sub-treads, and terazzo treads. The glass and stainless steel railings were supported with stainless steel "buttons", side mounted to the stringers and bolted through holes in the glass. Wood handrails were supplied by another trade, but were screwed onto the stainless steel flat bar railings.
