Edificio XPO1 - 2018 Tekla North America BIM Awards

In 2017,  work began on the office complex XPO1. This project has quickly become known as one of the most promising and innovative projects using "ECOLOGICAL ARCHITECTURE" in Guatemala. This steel project consists of office and commercial space and was formed by mostly section I profiles, combining bolted connections in basements and welded connections in the superstructure. One of the biggest challenges on this project was the irregular shape of the building. Tekla Structures was a key to overcoming this challenge as the truly constructible information from the model was used in the fabrication and construction phases of the project.
