A facility fit for the next generation of pro-footballers!

The facilities' extension at Bodymoor Heath, a state of the art football training ground and academy, features a 3500 sqm indoor playing area, four full-size grass pitches, 15 changing rooms, gymnasium, physiotherapy facilities and an indoor swimming pool.

In March 2019, plans were submitted to expand the facilities in this prestigious training ground, located in the North of Warwickshire. The plans included a complete reconstruction and relocation of the Academy pitches due to the route of HS2 slicing through the club's training ground.

The challenges faced in this project were like no other we had faced as a company before. Logistical challenges, a tight deadline, and a high profile client meant that we had to be better than best for this specific project. Our design team thought outside of the box as we were under no false impressions on how much of this steel work was left exposed in its final state. We had to think about each individual nut and bolt detail to make sure that wherever the eye is drawn, no shortage of attention to detail was spared.

Every finite detail addressed

The team worked flat out at 110% to achieve the tight deadlines. We made sure that even though every finite detail was addressed, the budget was not over run. Using Tekla we were the first contractor to bring a detailed 3D image of the facility to the design team and most importantly the end user.
