The Central Feature at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed was to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Porsche. Designed to highlight six of Porsche's most revolutionary cars spanning their 75-year history, the structure served as a focal point in front of Goodwood House, distinguishing itself as one of the festival's most iconic displays. Supporting six different cars at varying angles, each vehicle showcased was a real, full-scale car rather than a model.
The project was executed within a tight schedule, from concept to completion. Following the end of the festival, the structure was carefully dismantled and recycled. Littlehampton Welding were responsible for the project management throughout the entire lifecycle, from conception to dismantling.

Challenges and achievements
The Tekla fabrication model was directly derived from both artistic and engineering models, eliminating the need for transferring drawings during the modelling and approval processes. This streamlined approach significantly enhanced efficiency and accuracy by maintaining a cohesive digital model across different stages of design and approval. Additionally, Trimble Connect played an important role in the intricate erection planning process, providing the Littlehampton Welding site team with a full understanding of the structure.

Using Tekla software
- Laser profiling of tubes and plates.
 - Exchange of IFC and DXF models, from both the design team and for visualisation throughout the whole fabrication process.
 - Visualisation ensured that the model met the artist’s design and the engineering analysis model. This helped with planning, site erection, and lifting the cars onto the structure.
