This was a staircase based on a Vierendeel Truss design over 4 floors that is an elliptical deign at the bottom transforming to circular design at the top, had 100 treads 10 landings was 11m long x 9m wide and 17.5m high and the treads were 2.0 m wide, there was two flights on one floor which mirrored the other.
We had 6 months to design, Detail, fabricate and Install the Steelwork. Dean Mclellan was the sole detailer on the project, and this was his first Project using Tekla having only used Strucad prior to this Project apart from one Weeks Advanced Training by Tekla UK that was the only time using Tekla so it was into the deep end and start swimming.
